School Climate Coordinator

Responsibilities

We are seeking an energetic, collaborative, and experienced School Climate Coordinator for our LifeWorks School System for the 2026-2027 Academic School Year.

The LifeWorks Schools are licensed specialty therapeutic day schools for students in middle and high school effected by social, emotional, or behavioral health challenges. LifeWorks comprehensive educational curriculum is individualized and designed to actively engage each student throughout the day to achieve positive, pro-social behavioral and educational outcomes. Our unique balance of academic rigor and a continuum of evidence based educational/therapeutic supports make LifeWorks the regional provider of choice. 

Implements the School Safety Plan, enforces the rules and regulations which govern school student discipline and the implementation of disciplinary measures as necessary. Acts as a liaison with students, families, school support teams and other non-school related entities to ensure a school climate that is conducive to learning and that provides students with a safe and secure environment.


Summary of Responsibilities:

  1. Provide oversight to all behavior management support staff
  2. Ensure all staff are utilizing proper classroom management strategies
  3. Provide behavior management/ classroom management training individually as a need and to all faculty regularly
  4. Ensure all safety protocols are being completed in a thorough and consistent manner
  5. Provide behavior management support to all staff by working with students on both an individual and group basis as needed.
  6. Monitor student behavioral achievement through observation and other quantitative methods.
  7. Ensure student’s behavior improvement plan (if applicable), Positive Behavior Support Plan (if applicable) and IEP’s are being implemented with fidelity.
  8. Completes tasks assigned by staff pertaining to school environment, behavioral interventions, and other operational functions in the school (i.e. peer mediation, conflict resolution, restitution, phone calls to parents/ guardian, functional behavioral assessments, discipline referral tabulation, etc.)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s level degree in Education or other related degree in Human Services field of study.
  • Experience with Special Education is preferred.
  • Prior experience working with students within a special education school setting is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 3 years support staff oversight experience.
