Contract | Night Shift (7P–7A) | Every other weekend and holiday expected

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit managing common diagnoses including NSTEMI, COPD, pneumonia, sepsis, and AKI
• Monitor and sign off on telemetry strips throughout the shift in collaboration with scheduled monitor technicians
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:5 (up to 1:7 as needed), working alongside PCT support
• Follow facility protocols on a drug-free campus, including compliance with all drug screening requirements
• Float to ICU, ER, or behavioral health unit if candidate possesses the applicable level of experience; floating outside of Med Surg is not required otherwise
• Adhere to department dress code: any scrub color, closed-toe shoes, and good hygiene standards

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license (or confirmation that the application process has been initiated)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Must produce a negative drug screen for all panels prior to start
• Candidates with a permanent address within 50 miles of the facility may be subject to a local pay rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with telemetry monitoring and strip sign-off workflows
• Prior exposure to ICU, ER, or behavioral health settings
• Familiarity with common Med Surg diagnoses including NSTEMI, COPD, sepsis, and AKI
