Caregiver Or CNA Position

We are looking for an experienced caregiver or CNA to fill an immediate need for short shifts of 1-3 hours. Experience with Parkinson's and Dementia preferred.

Minimum qualifications include:

• Able to cover all five weekdays at least, availability during the weekend is a plus.
• Proof of current physical and TB testing.
• Must be physically able to perform the duties of this position.
• Must have available reliable transportation; proof of a valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
• Must possess excellent communication skills.
• Be mature, caring, punctual, and reliable.
• Pass a criminal background check.
• Provide verifiable professional and personal references.

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

• Understand a client's care plan and adequately implement it.
• Assist clients according to their care plan which may include: companionship, meal preparation and service, light housekeeping, transportation, shopping, medication reminders, bathing, body care, dressing, feeding, ambulation, positioning, transferring, toileting, and protective supervision.
• Notify the Care Manager of client concerns, changes in care or client condition and client emergencies.
• Notify the Care Manager and/or Staffing Coordinator of any safety concerns.
• Follow company Infection Control practices; notify the office if in need of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) or supplies.
• Follow the WellSky/ClearCare App Instructions to clock in and clock out for all scheduled shifts and accurately update your task status for each client prior to clocking out and leaving the client's home.
• Conform to the company dress code as specified in the Employee Handbook.
• Report to work on-time and ready for the day.
• Complete ongoing training as required by client care needs and/or changes in company policies and procedures.
• Attend staff meetings.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures as detailed in the Employee Handbook.

The caregiver is supervised by the Care Manager and receives scheduling direction from the Staffing Coordinator.

Physical and environmental demands include repositioning and transferring clients, sustaining weight of clients using proper transfer safety techniques and equipment, and travel to client's residence using a reliable means of transportation.

Pay is weekly and could provide access to pay on demand.
