For Compensation:

The base hourly range for this role is between $30 - $36 per hour. This range is not inclusive of our discretionary bonus or equity package. When determining a candidate's compensation, we consider a number of factors, including skillset, experience, job scope, and current market data.

Job Summary Responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and related systems in vehicles and machinery. They perform routine inspections, troubleshoot mechanical issues, replace faulty parts, and ensure engines operate efficiently and meet safety standards. This role often requires knowledge of diesel engine technology, strong mechanical skills, and the ability to work with diagnostic tools and equipment.

Essential Functions

• Repair and Maintain Mobile Equipment. Service, repair, adjust, and test all mobile equipment that operates throughout the plant to maximize performance and limit downtime.
• Inspect Equipment and Materials. Inspect all mobile equipment to identify and troubleshoot the cause of errors. Perform repairs to address problems when necessary.
• Handle and Move Objects. Handle, install, position, and move parts, materials, and industrial hand tools in a safe manner throughout the shop and plant.
• Document and Record Information. Ensure correct and accurate documentation is completed daily and monthly regarding all mobile equipment. Enter and maintain service reports for all the mobile equipment in written or electronic form.
• Operate Equipment. Assist in driving heavy equipment and vehicles throughout the plant to ensure production continues efficiently.

• Technical Expertise - Solid mechanical understanding of mobile equipment, including basic maintenance checks and troubleshooting minor issues. Ability to identify signs of equipment malfunction, understand and report them to the maintenance team.

Responsibilities

Education

High School diploma or GED equivalent required.

Previous experience working on diesel or heavy construction equipment is required.

Additional vocational/trade school training in a mechanical field.

Experience

Previous experience working on diesel or heavy construction equipment is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of general principles and practices of servicing heavy construction equipment is preferred.

Must have some knowledge of industrial tools, their uses, and maintenance.

Other Requirements

Must be willing to work overtime and extended hours depending on customer and company demands.

Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.

Perform physical activities that require moving your whole body and considerable use of your arms and legs, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.

Must have knowledge of industrial tools, their uses and maintenance.

Travel will be required overnight as business demands.

Take an active role in prioritizing safety for yourself and others throughout the operation at all times.

Must have and maintain valid driver's license.
