Lab Tech 1 (Float)

Job Summary Float Position: Must be able to travel. Location: Hill Country Clinic Float (including but not limited to, Marble Falls, Llano, San Saba, Leander, Cedar Park, Lago Vista, Johnson City, Kingsland). Status: Full time. Shift: Day shift, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM or 7:00 AM-4:00 PM. Responsibilities Conduct routine laboratory procedures where the range of possible errors is limited. Sort, label and record patient specimens; set up specimen, material and equipment in preparation for a Medical Technologist to perform tests. Operate centrifuge, simplex timers, cell washer and other laboratory equipment in completing assigned duties. Maintain appropriate inventory of supplies. Maintain effective communication and working relationships with all laboratory personnel, other disciplines, and external customers. Participate in laboratory projects and educational activities. Key Success Factors Ability to comprehend and communicate instructions. Skill in the use of computers and related software applications. Knowledge of safety and infection control standards.
