Building Aide

The building aide plays a vital role in maintaining a safe, orderly, and supportive learning environment throughout the school day. This position involves managing student supervision during non-instructional times (recess, cafeteria and hallways) and providing necessary classroom coverage to ensure continuity of instruction. This is a 10 month position.

Your typical day as a building aide may include: assisting with activities, supervising students, maintaining the classroom and other areas, assisting in developing good health standards and appropriate social habits, and filling in for other staff as needed.

• Capacity to manage multiple responsibilities and competing demands.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a calm and respectful manner.
• Maintain a positive, encouraging attitude to motivate others.
• Candidate must enjoy working with children.
