International Admissions Assistant

George Mason University Office of Admissions is seeking a dynamic self-motivated, results-oriented individual to fill the part-time position of International Admissions Assistant. This is an ongoing position, and we are seeking an individual who will become a long-term team member.

Responsibilities:

• Processing and organizing admissions application materials;
• Providing customer service to applicants (e.g., in person, by phone, e-mail, etc.); and
• Assisting with other duties and projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Ability to perform work with substantial attention to detail;
• Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team environment;
• Effective written and verbal communications skills;
• Demonstrated work ethic and a commitment to the overall goals of the Mason Admissions Office;
• Demonstrated interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills;
• Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and/or confidential information and situations; and
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize projects often working on multiple projects concurrently and adhering to tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bilingual; and
• Prior experience in a university admissions environment.
