Managing Director, Investor RelationsNew York, NY, USAEssential duties include but are not limited to:Client Advisory & Content ExcellenceStrategic leadership of 7-10 client accounts; leadership support within a pod (team and book of business)Conceptualize and execute bespoke strategiesOversee all materials and quality controlAct as primary accountable party for day-to-day client relationship on all clients, with additional support from senior leadership as needed and for critical workstreamsResponsibilities including but not limited to:Lead client calls and provide strategic counsel to senior executives on investor engagement, messaging, and market positioning with facility across clients of varying complexity (public, private, preclinical, clinical, commercial, etc.)Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory developments, and competitive dynamics; can speak to experience with most IR situations and initiate changes in strategy when neededDraft and review technical corporate communications materials to client-ready standard including high-impact investor presentations, press releases, earnings scripts, etc.Oversee tactical delivery including more sophisticated research projects and targeting analyses, planning and execution of roadshows, meetings and other investor eventsEvent planning and on-site support, including occasional travelManage client engagements, retainers, budgeting and ensure accuracy of invoicing75% utilization target for client billingTeam Building & MentorshipManage a team of junior staff, including development plans and annual reviewsTrain and mentor a high-performing team aligned with our collaborative and purpose-driven culture; oversee its growth and effectively and directly deliver feedbackFoster professional growth and uphold principles of client service, purpose, accountability, mutual respect, and collaborationChampion diversity, equity, and inclusionLead by example, balancing competitive drive with a spirit of collaboration and integrityManage and approve time charges and utilization of direct reportsBusiness Development & Market PositioningSupport marketing and new business materials, help identify and pitch new business opportunities, contributing to firm growth and book of businessLeverage a robust network of stakeholders to accelerate inbound opportunitiesCultivate relationships with investors, analysts, and bankers to enhance visibility and credibilitySubject matter expert on biotech/healthcare IR; can represent the agency at industry events, conferences, and investor forums and in social media and speaking engagementsStrategic LeadershipManage and contribute to operational, growth and strategy initiatives for Precision AQProactively generate ideas and identify opportunities for clients and the firm, including thought leadershipQualifications:Minimum Required:Minimum 10 years of relevant depth of work experience (in directly relevant finance, healthcare, communications or consulting roles); agency experience idealAbility to successfully manage multiple projects from conception to completion on deadline in a fast-paced team environmentAbility to cultivate deep network within the investment community and biotech/healthcare ecosystemExceptional communication, leadership, and strategic thinking skills; high standards of quality control and client serviceConfident writer and presenter, comfortable in a variety of C-Suite scenarios, with ability to influenceDemonstrated ability to operate within a leadership team and manage a teamBachelor's degree requiredOther Required:Demonstrates subject matter expertiseCompetent in technology-driven environments, including AI and various tools and platformsIndependent and collaborative; resourceful problem solver, quick learnerExperience with employee reviews, development plansProven ability to create marketing materials and pitch new businessCommitted to the success and growth of IREC and the entire teamPrecision is required by law in some states or cities to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Precision, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
