All candidates that are offered employment will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.*CCMA certification required for this position*Responsibilities and Duties:Room patient for providerTake vitals, check meds and patient historySet up papsClean roomsAssist with surgical procedures; set up room, stitch removal, ear wax removal, injections, assist with circumcisions and other surgical proceduresSet up and complete EKG's and NEB tx/spirometry'sComplete lab procedures; quick-strep, mono, hemacult, UA dips, and prepare labs for send outsMonthly QA's; record daily temps of refrigeratorClean utensils and be able to operator autoclaveGive immunizations and complete proper paperworkWeekly order & stock suppliesTriage calls and make appropriate call backs for providerComplete medicine refill requests and fax or call in when neededSet up mammograms and dexa appointmentsSet up US, CT, MRI, Stress, Echo Testing, etc.Complete patient notification for normal lab & x-ray resultsCalling lab, etc. for resultsScheduling appointments only if requested by doctorKnow and be able to use ICD-10 coding on labs & diagnosticsCall drug reps; check on drug supplies and expiration datesDocument and scribe patient visitsOther duties as directed by your managerQualifications and Skills:High School Diploma or GEDOne year work experience as a CCMAValid Oregon CCMAEMR/HER experienceCurrent BLS certificationHIPAA KnowledgeAbility to communicate effectively, both orally and in writingAdminister medications accordingly as directed by the providerAssess patient needs and document accuratelySet priorities for nursing action in a sequence according to patient needsCommunicate with the provider and other nurses and team members to ensure the patients well beingTeach patient appropriate health information and share written informational materialMaintain a clean, neat, and safe work environment for patient and staff according to policy and proceduresParticipate in economical utilization of suppliesEnsure equipment is maintained in a safe and clean mannerExperience taking manual vitals (blood pressure, pulse, respirations)Ability to perform basic clinical duties(vitals, injections, specimen collections, EKGs, swabs, cultures)Minimize non-productive time and fill slow periods with activities that will enable you to prepare to meet the future needs of EFMPhysical requirements:Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands and fingers, handle, or feel; and reach forward with hands and arms.The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, or crouch.May be exposed to patients with infectious diseases.Must be able to lift up to 15 - 25 pounds at times.Our culture and values are every employee's responsibility: The needs of our patient come first S.P.I.R.I.TStewardshipPatient & Population Focused Health CareIntegrityRespectInnovationTeamworkBenefits:Health, Dental, Vision benefitsLife Insurance401k with a company match up to 6%Paid Time Off
