The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. Chart Coordinator prepares and organizes all perioperative medical records prior to the scheduled day of surgery, to facilitate preparation of patients for surgery and special procedures upon admission. As Chart Coordinator, a typical day might include the following: Answering phone calls and e-mails, greeting patients, visitors Performing secretarial support functions as required in the department Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote efficient workflows and positive patient experiences Communicating with other departments, and works closely with pre-admission testing to ensure the continuity of patient data collection Completing unit-based competencies as per JCAHO and other regulatory agencies Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote efficient workflows and positive patient experiences Generating new work methods and procedures to facilitate chart preparation, Maintaining a high level of confidentiality when dealing with patients and co-workers Organizing and documenting patient information in accordance with established procedure Supporting the daily operations of the department by maintaining supplies and ensuring an organized work environment This role might be for you if: You enjoy working in a fast-paced healthcare environment where no two days are the same You thrive on staying organized and balancing multiple priorities. At least two (2) years of administrative and secretarial experience in office setting within a large institution. Per Diem as needed-must be available and flexible with schedule- Monday-Friday, the hours can be from 6:00am-2:00pm, 8:00am-4:00pm, 9:00am-5:00pm.
