Role Shape Process Automation (SPA) is seeking an IT Specialist (SPA NA) to join the IT department. In this entry‑level role you will assist with IT‑related issues and requests, support daily IT activities and projects for SPA North America, SPA Canada, and other global users across overlapping time zones. You will help implement and maintain SHAPE‑wide and site‑specific IT systems and tools, contributing to the scalability of SPA North America and Canada. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide technical support for end users including SPA North America, SPA Canada, RPS and other global users. Track all IT issues and requests using the IT Service Desk System and ensure timely resolution. Support Active Directory and application‑level account provisioning and management. Assist with monitoring of all local and cloud‑hosted IT systems including core business applications (ERP and CRM) at SPA North America and SPA Canada. Receive and unpack systems and add sub‑components and upgrades such as memory, network cards, and drives. Perform scheduled maintenance tasks such as hardware and peripheral maintenance, backups, patching, system configuration, security, and log monitoring. Proactively identify and resolve problems before they impact critical business activities. Install, support and maintain applications such as office suites, backup software, anti‑virus products, in‑house applications, communication programs and other business software. Support infrastructure and IT tools in a Windows‑based desktop/server environment (Active Directory, SQL, Exchange, Dynamics CRM, Industrios, and other in‑house applications). Organize, perform and assist with complex tasks as needed. Engage with the user community to provide world‑class customer support. Develop working relationships with peers across all regions and sites to promote a unified vision. Participate in global and regional Shape IT projects and support users at other Shape entities when required. Maintain regular and predictable attendance. Supervisory Responsibilities No supervisory responsibilities. Travel Approximately 40% travel. Location Remote or hybrid. On‑site or hybrid is preferred if within reasonable commuting distance of a SHAPE office. Qualifications Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Expert knowledge of Windows OS and M365 applications (Office 365 Pro Plus, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive). Solid knowledge of network, server and system architectures, including Microsoft Server OS, SQL, Hyper‑V, Azure, and System Center Management tools. Ability to make recommendations that resolve problems and improve processes in accordance with standards and regulations. Solid project management and organizational skills. Experience in IT operational support for complex networked environments (desktops, servers, storage, business applications, VOIP, wireless, mobile devices). Strong problem‑solving and prioritization skills under pressure. High level customer focus and friendly manner. Experience supporting remote users and systems via tools such as RDP and TeamViewer. Ability to work flexible schedules for after‑hour system upgrades and projects. Education and Experience IT education or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 3–5 years of IT experience in similar positions. Project management experience a definite plus. Industry‑recognized technical certifications a plus. Experience directly supervising people (performance reviews, scheduling, discipline). Certificates, Licenses and Registrations None required.
