Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills and a comprehensive understanding of Prevost buses or any bus manufacturers. This role requires effective communication with team members, management and drivers while maintaining compliance with safety regulations.Responsibilities:Dedication to providing the safest and most efficient coaches/trucks to our drivers and customers.Perform DOT-compliant maintenance on all vehicles/equipment within our fleet.Conduct preventative maintenance on all vehicles/equipment within our fleet.Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair all major systems such as engines, transmissions, DEF systems, AC systems, and driver safety mitigation devices/systems.Utilize OEM Diagnostic platforms for troubleshooting/repair and participate in training opportunities.Maintain accurate records of repairs performed on all vehiclesMaintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment.Experience/Qualifications:4+ years of diesel engine and/or trailer repair experience minimumAbility to work on a variety of heavy/medium duty diesel vehicles & equipmentWorking knowledge of vehicle systems such as hydraulics, air brakes, electrical, etc.Strong knowledge of basic mechanical tools.Familiar with Detroit 60 series, Volvo Engines, and Allison Transmissions.Familiar with Prevost buses or any bus manufacturersGood skills with Aftertreatment Diagnostics.Strong communication skills for liaising with drivers, team members, and management.Benefits:Dental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurance and AD&DPaid time offVision insuranceSTD/LTDCritical IllnessHospital IndemnityPet InsuranceLegal & ID Sheild #J-18808-Ljbffr
