Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician with experience in automotive paint sanding, buffing, and auto body detailing. This role involves using power tools, angle grinders, and sanding surfaces to remove imperfections and buff them to achieve a high-gloss, mirror-like finish.

Responsibilities

• Sand and buff automotive surfaces to remove imperfections and achieve a high-gloss finish.

• Utilize hand and power tools such as drills, screw guns, and caulk guns for assembly tasks.

• Work collaboratively within a team environment to ensure efficient production processes.

• Communicate professionally with team members and follow directions accurately.

• Perform frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and climbing up and down ladders.

• Lift and handle materials up to 40lbs as part of daily tasks.

Essential Skills

• Mechanical Aptitude with the ability to read and use a tape measure to precise measurements, requiring at least 2 years of experience.

• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools, including drills and screw guns, with a minimum of 2 years of experience.

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate professionally.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charlotte, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.55 - $19.55/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
