Litigation Associate Attorney

Associate Attorney

Our client is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join its team in either Riverside or Glendale, California. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in civil litigation, personal injury, and insurance defense. Experience with public entity defense is a strong plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Handle a caseload of civil litigation, personal injury, and insurance defense matters.
• Manage cases through various stages of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motions, negotiations, and settlement.
• Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, insurance carriers, and other parties.
• Develop case strategies and work toward effective resolution of matters.
• Appear in court, depositions, mediations, and other legal proceedings as needed.
• Maintain organized case files and meet litigation deadlines.
• Collaborate with partners and other attorneys on complex matters.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of civil litigation experience.
• Experience handling personal injury and insurance defense matters.
• Public entity defense experience is a strong plus, but not required.
• Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and litigation skills.
• Ability to manage cases independently while working effectively with a team.
• Active California Bar admission in good standing.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Must be comfortable working 100% in the office.
• Must live within a reasonable commuting distance of Riverside or Glendale, CA.

Compensation & Benefits

• $125,000-$165,000 base salary, depending on experience and qualifications.
• Higher compensation may be considered at the discretion of the partners.
