Civil Craft Laborer Journeyman - Highland

Summary Mortenson is currently seeking a Laborer Journeyman responsible for preparing, handling, and supplying materials to other crafts. Responsibilities Load and unload equipment Erect and dismantle scaffolding (5X7X16) and staging Level ground for scaffolding Tend mortar and grout Lift, unload, move, set, and shovel mortar and grout between wheelbarrows and buckets General cleanup and clearing of debris, including sweeping, cleaning, washing, and unloading or burning debris Place, push, pull, and shovel concrete Vibrate concrete Provide work direction and guidance to Laborer I, II, Helpers, and Apprentice Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels All other duties as assigned Qualifications Completion of a two‑year apprenticeship program Experience in construction (preferred) Ability to work with tools and equipment such as power and non‑powered hand tools, vibrators, pumps, drills, jackhammers, forklifts, skid loaders, and power buggies Strong teamwork orientation; positive attitude; professional customer service skills; detail orientation; active listening skills; effective communication; openness to diverse input and feedback Repetitive hand, arm, and leg movements Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling: up to 50 lbs Position description may change without notice Lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling over 50 lbs will be performed with assistance of another team member or equipment Benefits Mental Healthcare Craft Dependent Scholarship Service Awards Union benefits: vacation, health, insurance, pension, and job training Visa Sponsorship Visa sponsorship is not offered for this position.
