Exciting Opportunity for a Family Medicine Physician
We are thrilled to present a full-time position for a Board Certified or Board Eligible* Family Medicine physician to join our expanding practice, located in Walkerton, Indiana, near the University of Notre Dame. This role is part of our organization, which encompasses over 20 practice locations and includes more than 100 primary care and specialist physicians across St. Joseph, Marshall, and Elkhart Counties.
Job Responsibilities- Provide care to patients of all ages, from pediatric to geriatric.
- Perform basic laboratory services and procedures, including skin tag and mole removal, suturing, and joint injections.
- Engage in teaching opportunities with Family Medicine residents from our health system, including clinical teaching and supervision.
- Adhere to the Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services.
- Maintain active membership status on the medical staff of our health system as required.
We are proud to share that our service area in Indiana qualifies for the Student Loan Repayment Program. Eligible providers can receive up to $40,000 in tax-exempt loan forgiveness for full-time service in our clinics and/or hospital. The financial benefits include:
- $20,000 for a 2-year commitment
- $40,000 for a 4-year commitment
Participants will also engage in an ECHO learning project that connects health professionals with specialist teams to enhance treatment for specific populations, diseases, or conditions.
Compensation and BenefitsWe offer a competitive recruitment package for the right Family Medicine physician, which includes:
- A salary that aligns with MGMA standards.
- Malpractice insurance covered by the organization, including tail coverage.

- 5 days and $3,000 allocated for Continuing Medical Education (CME).
