Travel Interventional Radiology Technician Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technician for a 13‑week travel assignment in Los Angeles, California. Job Details Company: Fusion Medical Staffing Location: Los Angeles, California Shift: 5x8 hr days Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks Pay: $3,139 per week (approx.) Required Qualifications One year of recent experience as an Interventional Radiology Technician Valid ARRT or RCIS/RCES certification in compliance with state regulations Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) Preferred Qualifications Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC) Valid Radiologic Technologist license in compliance with state regulations PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certification Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position Essential Work Functions Prepare and position patients for interventional radiology procedures, ensuring comfort and safety Operate imaging equipment, including fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound, to guide procedures Assist physicians by scrubbing in for sterile procedures, passing instruments, and maintaining a sterile field Monitor and document patient vital signs and procedural details Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions Ensure proper radiation safety measures for patients, staff, and self Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment, ensuring readiness for procedures Manage and restock procedural supplies, including catheters, guidewires, and contrast agents Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other team members to provide seamless patient care Follow all infection control, safety, and regulatory protocols Provide patient education before, during, and after procedures Perform other duties as assigned to support IR lab operations Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards Required Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills Physical Abilities – Must be able to remain stationary, move equipment (50–100 lbs), push, pull, and bend Interpersonal Skills – Must work effectively with a variety of personnel to present a positive attitude and professionalism Technical/Motor Skills – Must grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move during procedures Mental Requirements – Must cope with frequent contact with public and customers under pressure; work under close supervision occasionally; manage irregular schedules and continuous concentration Sensory – Must possess visual acuity and communicate effectively Benefits Highly competitive pay for travel professionals Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance effective first day Paid Time Off after 1,560 hours Life and short‑term disability 401(k) matching Aggressive refer‑a‑friend bonus program 24/7 recruiter support Reimbursement for licensure and CEUs Start your rewarding career as a Travel IR Technician with Fusion Medical Staffing and join our mission to improve lives.
