Psychiatric Technician - Inpatient Psychiatric Unit Shift Details

• 4x12-hour shifts per week
• 48 hours per week only
• Rotating Day/Evening/Night shifts
• Holidays required
• Weekends required
• On-call and callback per unit needs

Position Overview

• Provide direct care and clinical services to inpatient psychiatric patients on an individual basis
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, social rehabilitation, and psychiatric rehabilitation as directed by the RN
• Communicate effectively with patients and ensure they have access to required services
• Inform the RN of any changes in patient condition
• Participate in rounds and group therapy as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a psychiatric technician
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Psychology or Sociology
