Director of Revenue Cycle
$170k - $190kOI Infusion
Director, Revenue Cycle
OI Infusion Services is on a mission to improve access to high-quality, affordable infusion care by bringing treatment closer to where patients live and receive care. Through our growing network of ambulatory infusion centers and physician partnerships, we combine clinical excellence, operational expertise, and technology to create a better experience for patients and providers.
As we continue to grow, a scalable, high-performing revenue cycle is critical to supporting our mission. We are looking for a Director, Revenue Cycle to help build and lead the capabilities that convert the care we deliver into accurate reimbursement and predictable cash performance.
Reporting to the VP, Revenue Operations, the Director will provide leadership across claim setup, revenue and payment integrity, billing, collections, denials, and accounts receivable management. This leader will translate Revenue Operations strategy into execution, develop high-performing teams, and continuously improve the processes, technology, and controls that enable accurate billing, optimal reimbursement, and timely cash collection.
This is more than a role focused on managing claims and work queues. We are looking for a leader who can diagnose what is driving performance, identify where value is being lost, turn data into a clear narrative and action, and build scalable solutions that change outcomes. Success will be measured by improvements in cash performance, speed to cash, accounts receivable, billing quality and timeliness, reimbursement yield, denials, and overall revenue cycle efficiency. Location - Remote Salary: $170k-$190k plus annual bonus
Drive Revenue Cycle Performance: Create visibility into the operational and financial drivers of revenue cycle performance and turn that visibility into action. Establish meaningful goals, KPIs, and operating rhythms that help teams understand where performance is strong, where it is breaking down, and what needs to change.
Improve the Path from Service to Cash: Build a billing operation that consistently converts services into timely, accurate, and compliant claims. Identify and remove barriers that create unbilled revenue, billing delays, claim errors, and payer rejections while continuously improving clean claim performance and speed to bill.
Accelerate Cash & Improve Reimbursement: Diagnose the drivers of cash, AR aging, DSO, denials, and reimbursement performance and develop strategies that produce measurable improvement. Move beyond managing inventory to identify systemic issues, prioritize the highest-value opportunities, and drive them through resolution.
Protect Revenue & Payment Integrity: Build the controls and capabilities necessary to ensure OI is appropriately reimbursed for the care it provides. Identify revenue leakage, systemic underpayments, reimbursement variances, and claim integrity issues; recover lost revenue and translate downstream findings into upstream changes that prevent recurrence.
Turn Data into Decisions: Use claims, payer, reimbursement, denial, and AR data to uncover trends, challenge assumptions, and identify opportunities. Translate complex performance into a clear narrative that tells leaders what is happening, why it matters, what is driving it, and what we should do about it.
Build for Scale: Redesign processes, workflows, and controls to make the revenue cycle simpler, faster, more accurate, and more scalable. Leverage technology, automation, and analytics to reduce manual work, strengthen quality, improve productivity, and create operating leverage as OI grows.
Influence Change Across the Organization: Many revenue cycle problems begin outside the revenue cycle. Partner with Intake, Operations, Finance, Data/Technology, payer strategy, and other stakeholders to identify upstream and downstream barriers, quantify their impact, align teams around solutions, and drive change even when the process sits outside your direct ownership.
Enable Growth: Make revenue cycle an enabler—not a constraint—to organizational growth. Anticipate the billing, reimbursement, system, and operational requirements associated with new locations, entities, therapies, and payers and ensure the infrastructure is ready to support them.
Build High-Performing Teams: Develop managers and teams who understand not only what work needs to be completed, but the outcomes they are responsible for producing. Establish clear expectations and accountability while creating a culture of ownership, curiosity, collaboration, continuous improvement, and measurable results.
You'll Be a Good Fit If You Are
A Revenue Cycle Operator: You have 8+ years of progressive healthcare revenue cycle experience and understand how the pieces of the revenue cycle connect. You can move comfortably between financial performance, data, workflows, systems, and frontline execution—and know when each requires your attention.
A Problem Solver: You aren't satisfied knowing that a metric is off target. You want to understand why. You can separate symptoms from root causes, quantify the impact, determine what matters most, and translate analysis into practical solutions.
Financially Minded: You understand how operational decisions ultimately translate into cash, AR, reimbursement yield, bad debt, and margin. You naturally connect day-to-day revenue cycle performance with the broader financial health of the business.
Data-Driven: You use data to uncover opportunities, test hypotheses, prioritize resources, and measure whether interventions actually worked. Just as importantly, you can turn complex analysis into a clear story that drives decisions and action.
Knowledgeable About Reimbursement: You have a strong understanding of medical billing, payer requirements, reimbursement methodologies, claims management, denials, underpayments, and revenue integrity. Experience with infusion, specialty pharmacy, high-cost specialty drugs, or medical-benefit reimbursement is strongly preferred.
A Builder and Change Leader: You challenge the status quo constructively and see opportunities to make processes simpler, faster, more accurate, and more scalable. You can take an ambiguous problem, create structure around it, and lead people through meaningful change.
A Strong People Leader: You develop leaders rather than simply supervise teams. You set clear expectations, create accountability, coach effectively, and build teams capable of independently solving problems and owning results.
An Effective Influencer and Communicator: You make complex issues understandable, communicate effectively from frontline teams through senior leadership, and build alignment across functions. You can influence outcomes even when you don't directly own every process or stakeholder involved.
Energized by Growth: You thrive in a fast-moving environment where priorities evolve, problems aren't always neatly defined, and building the next version of the organization is part of the job.
