We are excited to announce an opening for a Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) physician to become part of our dedicated and mission-oriented team at Valleywise Health Medical Center (VHMC) in Phoenix, Arizona. Our organization is a nonprofit medical group comprising over 450 healthcare providers across more than 25 specialties, serving the greater Phoenix area.

Position Overview

This role emphasizes a consultation-focused MFM practice , allowing physicians to deliver specialized, high-quality care without the responsibilities of delivery. The primary focus will be on high-risk obstetric consultations, advanced ultrasound procedures, prenatal diagnostics, and collaborative care. Our practice is designed to promote both clinical excellence and a healthy work-life balance.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide care for a diverse and medically complex patient population at VHMC, the safety-net hospital for Maricopa County.
• Engage in both clinic and hospital settings, participating in shared home call coverage for VHMC and the Arizona Perinatal Program.
• Deliver comprehensive high-risk obstetric services, including ultrasound, diagnostic testing, genetic counseling, and diabetes education.

Teaching and Mentorship

This position offers significant opportunities for teaching and mentoring the next generation of healthcare professionals. MFM physicians will serve as core faculty for the Creighton University integrated OB/GYN Residency and MFM Fellowship, hosted at VHMC and St. Joseph’s Hospital/Dignity Health. The program accommodates 32 residents and one MFM fellow annually, fostering a vibrant learning atmosphere.

Qualifications

• M.D. or D.O. degree.
• Board certification or eligibility in Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in Arizona.
