???? Starting Pay: $22.79/hour

???? Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Weekends as needed)

???? Position Overview:

In your first two years, you'll work in the Environmental Services Division , performing recycling collection duties on the back of a recycling truck. During the winter season, on-call overtime is expected for snow and ice operations.

After that, you'll rotate through other divisions such as Streets, Forestry, and Parks Maintenance , gaining experience with a wide range of equipment and public service tasks.

????️ Key Responsibilities:

Environmental Services Division:

• Operate recycling and yard waste collection vehicles
• Safely load/unload containers and respond to curbside service issues
• Drive to material recovery or compost facilities

Streets Division:

• Operate dump trucks, snow plows, salters, and other heavy equipment
• Perform street repairs, snow removal, drainage maintenance, and more

Forestry & Parks Maintenance:

• Trim, plant, and remove trees
• Maintain parks, ball fields, and public spaces
• Perform building and equipment maintenance

All Divisions:

• Conduct daily vehicle inspections
• Maintain communication with supervisors
• Respond to emergencies in all weather conditions

✅ What You'll Need:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Michigan CDL – Class A or B
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in physically demanding conditions
• Comfort working outdoors in all weather, including nights and weekends
• Strong teamwork, communication, and safety awareness
