Kinetic Cutting Systems Inc. is a global leader in designing, manufacturing, and distributing high-end CNC plasma and laser cutting machinery. Built on engineering excellence and heavy-duty manufacturing, we are proud to expand our operational footprint with a new facility in Texas.
Position Summary
We are seeking skilled and dependable Welder / Fabricators to join our shop floor production team in Houston, TX. In this role, you will prepare, cut, fit, and weld structural steel components used in our machinery.
This is a full-time position scheduled to begin in mid-November , with potential for overtime hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality structural steel fabrication, fitting, and MIG (GMAW) / Flux-Core (FCAW) welding tasks.
- Measure, lay out, and cut heavy steel stock accurately according to blueprint specifications.
- Operate shop equipment including plasma cutting torches, angle grinders, band saws, and overhead cranes.
- Perform visual weld inspections to ensure compliance with strict shop quality and safety standards.
- Assist with general shop floor maintenance and heavy assembly as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Technical Background: AWS Certification (eg, AWS D1.1 Structural Welding), Vocational/Trade School certificate, or equivalent hands-on trade experience.
- Blueprint Reading: Ability to interpret structural blueprints, fabrication drawings, and weld symbols.
- Basic Tech Skills: Familiarity with basic computer input/entry for production tracking.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, operate power tools, and work in a physically demanding metal shop environment.
- Equipment Certification: Powered Industrial Truck (Forklift) Certification / OSHA Operator License is a major plus.
- Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
