Job DescriptionJob Description Key Personnel is seeking an Estimator for a manufacturing company in the Claremore, OK area. Estimator Pay: $25/hr Estimator Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm Estimator Responsibilities: Analyze customer blueprints, models, specifications, and proposal requirements to prepare accurate cost estimates Develop labor, material, machining, fabrication, assembly, processing, and overhead cost estimates for manufacturing projects Review customer requirements and technical documentation to determine project scope and production requirements Conduct detailed cost analyses to ensure estimates are competitive and aligned with company objectives Evaluate project risks, production challenges, and schedule constraints when preparing estimates Prepare comprehensive estimates and supporting documentation for customer quotations and proposals Generate and distribute Requests for Quotation (RFQs) to suppliers and subcontractors Obtain and evaluate supplier pricing for raw materials, hardware, special processing, outside services, and purchased components Coordinate with vendors to ensure accurate and timely quotation responses Analyze supplier costs and identify opportunities for cost savings and value improvements Work closely with Business Development, Engineering, Production, Purchasing, and Operations teams to develop accurate project estimates Review manufacturing methods and processes, including CNC machining, milling, turning, fabrication, and assembly operations Assess production capabilities, labor requirements, and capacity constraints when developing estimates Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure customer requirements are fully understood and incorporated into pricing strategies Research labor rates, material costs, production times, and manufacturing requirements to support estimating activities Maintain detailed estimating records, pricing databases, and historical project information Update estimates as project requirements change or additional information becomes available Utilize ERP systems, spreadsheets, and estimating tools to develop and maintain accurate cost models Support continuous improvement efforts related to estimating accuracy and process efficiency Estimator Requirements: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing or a similar manufacturing environment required Experience working within established quality and engineering standards required Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including milling, turning, fabrication, and assembly operations Proficiency reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, CAD models, specifications, and technical documents Experience preparing cost estimates, quotations, bids, or manufacturing proposals Proficiency with ERP systems and cost estimation software required Advanced Excel skills and experience with analytical tools, spreadsheets, and databases required Experience with Project Management software Proficiency with SolidWorks, CATIA, and/or Siemens NX Degree in Finance, Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external suppliers Estimator Work Environment: Aerospace manufacturing environment operating under AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 quality standards Frequent collaboration with Business Development, Engineering, Production, Purchasing, and Operations teams Fast-paced environment supporting customer quotations and manufacturing proposals Combination of office-based estimating activities and shop floor interaction to evaluate manufacturing processes and requirements Estimator Physical Requirements: Ability to move throughout the manufacturing facility and navigate stairs as needed Ability to lift and carry materials up to 25 lbs. occasionally Ability to visually review blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents Ability to sit for extended periods while working with computers, estimating software, and ERP systems Frequent use of computers, calculators, and office equipment Key Personnel Benefits: While on Key Personnel's payroll, you can access Key Personnel's benefits package, including health, dental, vision, accident, critical illness, term life insurance, short-term , PTO, and more! #J-18808-Ljbffr
