Sr. Mfg. Equipment Maintenance Technician - Rotating Nights

Senior manufacturing equipment maintenance technician position on rotating night shift (7 PM–7 AM) at Thermo Fisher Scientific's softgels facility in High Point, North Carolina. Responsible for troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and electrical systems support in a GMP-regulated, cleanroom manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and support manufacturing and facility equipment; perform preventive and predictive maintenance
- Assist in installation and maintenance of electrical power distribution, instrumentation, controls, and machinery systems
- Identify and correct unsafe conditions related to electrical safety, shielding, interlocks, and emergency stops
- Ensure compliance with cGMP, FDA, and electrical codes and standards
- Work rotating shifts including maintenance shutdowns and varied work environments (cleanroom, laboratory, hazardous areas, rooftops)
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in electrical, automation, or mechatronics preferred
- Minimum 2–4 years related maintenance experience in electrical, electronics, or controls trades
- 4+ years automated equipment maintenance experience
- Allen-Bradley PLC programming knowledge; SLC, ControlLogix, and PanelView familiarity required
- Solid understanding of electrical systems, industrial automation, and low/high voltage power distribution
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction and solve root-cause equipment failures
- DEA security clearance eligibility; ability to lift 50 lbs and work in cleanroom/hazardous environments
