Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented General Labor: Mail Sorting & Handling employee to support our operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently sorting, handling, preparing mail for the mail stream.
Duties
- Sort outgoing mail and shipments accurately using manual handling techniques and automatic inserting machines.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport items safely.
- Organize and maintain mail distribution areas, ensuring all items are properly categorized and stored.
- Maintain organizational standards by keeping work areas clean, safe, and compliant with warehouse operations procedures.
Skills
- Experience operating material handling equipment safely.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with proper technique.
- Excellent customer service skills when interacting with team members or external partners during mail processing activities.
- Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and documentation accuracy.
