Sr. Data Analyst - Tableau Developer

Location:4910 Tiedeman Road, Brooklyn OhioJob Description As part of Key’s second line-of-defense Compliance Risk Management function, the Risk Evaluation and Assurance Program (the “REA Program”) has the responsibility for evaluating Key’s ongoing compliance with applicable laws and regulations through the execution of compliance and operational risk monitoring and testing across Key’s lines of business, products, and functional activities. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Tableau dashboards and reporting solutions that support regulatory compliance, risk management, control monitoring, and executive decision-making. The ideal candidatde possesses strong data visualization skills, experience working with large and complex datasets, and an understanding of governance, risk, and compliance processes. This individual will work closely with REA, Risk Management, Internal Audit, Data Analytics, and Technology partners to transform data into actionable insights that support effective risk oversight and regulatory compliance.Essential Job FunctionsWork within a team of risk evaluation and assurance professionals, working to design, develop, and maintain Tableau dashboards, scorecards, and self-service reporting solutions to provide an independent second-line-of-defense approach to risk-based monitoring, testing, and analytics.Demonstrate strong collaboration skills by partnering with business teams to gather reporting requirements and translate them into scalable analytical solutions.Explore and analyze data to identify trends and outliers, evaluate compliance with internal policy/procedures and/or regulatory requirements, and assess root cause(s) of any issues identified.Develop data models and data visualization standards that support regulatory reporting, compliance monitoring, control testing, risk assessments, and issue management activities. Ensure data accuracy through validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance procedures. Optimize Tableau workbooks for performance, usability, scalability, and maintenance.Connect Tableau to multiple data sources, including SQL Server, cloud-based data warehouses, data lakes, and enterprise reporting repositories.Develop and support automated reporting processes and recurring management reporting packages. Create technical documentation, data dictionaries, and user training materials.Support audits, regulatory examinations, and management inquiries related to compliance reporting and analytics.Working knowledge, as well as ability and interest in maintaining, and continuously developing knowledge of banking products (e.g. – lending, deposits, etc.) and ability to understand its applicability to data analytics, testing, and monitoring strategies.Ability and interest in developing knowledge of financial services industry source systems (e.g. loan origination/servicing, deposits, etc.), operations/process flows, banking regulations, and compliance frameworks.Required QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Information Technology/Systems (IT / MIS), Business Analytics, Computer Science, or other related quantitative or IT field of study.Minimum 2 years of practical and functional experience in data analysis and reporting typically achieved through work as a: business, data, operations, compliance, or risk analyst; internal auditor; or role that includes significant aspects of the listed essential job functions.Strong SQL skills, including complex joins, aggregations, window functions, and performance optimization.Skill and ability to work with big data and navigate data warehouse(s) and retrieving, combining, and analyzing data.Experience with retrieving and a proficient understanding of banking products and transactional data and customer information data.Autonomous, self-motivated, and flexible with the ability to adapt quickly to change or shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.High ethical standards, strong critical/strategic thinking, detective, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Strong interpersonal skills, effective communication (verbal and written) with the ability to develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships in a team environment and with mid- to senior-level management and internal clients.Required Technical Skills: Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server / Tableau Cloud, SQL, Data Visualization and Dashboard Design, Microsoft ExcelPreferred Skills/CompetenciesKnowledge of financial services industry source systems (e.g. loan origination/servicing, deposits, etc.), operations/process flows, banking regulations, and compliance frameworks.Advanced knowledge, professional certification, or expertise in database querying, data transformation, data visualization, and/or analytical software or programming languages (e.g. SAS, SQL, ACL, Tableau, etc.)Preferred Technical Skills: Python, SAS, BigQuery, Power BI, ETL and Data Integration ToolsCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITSThis position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $80,000.00 - $150,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location.
