Full time · Day shift (7:00 AM - 3:00 PM or 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM) · Weekdays

About us

The Oaks of Alamance is an assisted living and memory care community in Burlington, NC, part of The Affordable Senior Housing Foundation. Our building is our residents' home, and we want it clean, fresh and welcoming every day.

What you'll do

• Clean assigned resident rooms on schedule: floors (mop or vacuum), bathrooms (shower, sink, toilet, mirror), dusting including AC vents, trash, and wiping down surfaces
• Keep residents' rooms tidy and decluttered, with personal and care supplies stored properly
• Clean and keep presentable the common areas - lobby, hallways, dining rooms, TV and living rooms
• Clean and restock restrooms so they are always stocked and odor-free
• Keep the laundry area clean and organized and help keep linens moving
• Check cleaning supplies and report what is running low before it runs out
• Report anything broken, unsafe or needing repair
• Treat residents with respect and patience - you are working in their home

What we're looking for

• Housekeeping, janitorial, hotel or healthcare cleaning experience preferred - we will train the right person
• Dependable attendance and on-time arrival
• Attention to detail and pride in your work
• Ability to stand and walk most of the shift, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs
• Safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment (training provided)
• Reliable transportation to and from Burlington, NC
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening as required for North Carolina adult care homes
