Anesthesiologist

UPMC Hanover is seeking a skilled Anesthesiologist to join their team in Hanover, PA. This full-time position involves providing comprehensive medical management for patients undergoing various surgical procedures. Practice Info

• UPMC Hanover is a full-service acute care hospital with 100 licensed beds.
• Case assignments include orthopedics, general surgery, urology, endoscopy, ENT, and ophthalmology.
• No cardiac or neuro cases.
• Limited pediatric cases.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
• Pre-anesthesia assessment
• Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
• Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitoring of the patients physiological condition
• Performance of clinical intervention as needed

Compensation

• Salary: $500,000 annually
• Sign-on bonus: $100,000 sign on Incentives w/ Loan repayment or training assistance program options.

Requirements

• M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
• ECFMC and FLEX
• Completion of approved residency in anesthesia
• Currently licensed as a physician
