Job Description
TITLE
Circulating Nurse - Surgery

SCHEDULE
Varies/Days, rotating weekends

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 40

REQUIREMENTS
- Current unencumbered Oregon RN license required upon submission.
- Healthcare Provider Level BLS required.
- AHA ACLS required.
- One (1) year experience as a Circulating Nurse in the OR, or completion of approved didactic pre-operative nursing class.
- Two (2) years experience in ICU/PCU and/or a medical/surgical acute care setting.
- One (1) year CVOR/Open Heart experience required.
- ICU experience preferred.
- Scrubbing experience preferred.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with surgical team members to ensure safe and effective patient care during surgical procedures.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of the surgical procedure and patient condition.
- Monitor patient status and respond promptly to changes in condition.
- Ensure the operating room is properly prepared and sterile for surgical procedures.
- Assist with patient positioning and transfer as necessary.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control policies and procedures.
