The Clinical Manager (ASC) Ambulatory Surgical Center is responsible for overseeing the coordination of nursing practice for the Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC).

What You'll Do

• Daily Clinical Operations
  • Patient Flow: Oversee the smooth functioning of preoperative, operating room (OR), and Post-Anesthesia Care, ensuring a seamless patient experience from admission through discharge.
  • Resource Management: Ensure optimal staffing levels and coordinate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to keep procedures on schedule.
  • Equipment & Inventory: Manage the procurement, maintenance, and safety of medical supplies, surgical instruments, and clinical equipment.
• Staff Leadership & Development
  • Team Management: Recruit, onboard, schedule, and evaluate healthcare personnel, including registered nurses, surgical techs, and other support staff.
  • Credentialing: Verify the qualifications, competencies, and ongoing certifications of staff providing patient care.
• Quality & Safety
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the facility adheres to state, federal, and local requirements, including guidelines set by OSHA, HIPAA, and the CDC.
  • Patient Safety: Direct Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) plans, monitor infection control protocols, and conduct thorough variance/event documentation.

What We're Looking For

• Education:
  • 2 Year / Associate Degree, Required.
  • 4 Year / Bachelor's Degree, BSN preferred.
• Experience: Candidates with Operating Room and/or Ambulatory Surgery Center experience are strongly preferred. Minimum 3 years RN experience in a healthcare setting required.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • Current RN licensure required.
• Additional Skills (required):
  • Computer literacy, proficiency with Outlook, Word processing, PowerPoint, and Excel spreadsheets; able to independently use office equipment such as fax, copier and scanner; sufficiently proficient in medical equipment to guide the selection and bid process. Able to operate all appropriate clinical equipment in a safe and appropriate manner. Able to perform the necessary functions on the center's computer systems. Cooperative work attitude toward co-employees, management, patients, visitors and physicians. Ability to make decisions and solve problems.
  • Strong background in patient centric care; Experience with facilitating education and training; Must have the ability to complete assignments required for State, Regulatory, Accreditation and other required organizations.
  • Experience in leadership roles; Strong ethical and moral character references; Language skills adequate for high-level written, interpersonal, and telephone communication. Accuracy and attention to detail without compromise of patient care.
