Bonuses are made in 2 equal installments at 90 days and 180 days of employment./ppCarter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring a Logistics Driver in Richmond, Virginia. The Logistics Driver is responsible for the safe, efficient transportation of industrial/commercial parts and construction equipment to customer locations and Carter Machinery branches over established routes. Seeking candidates with a minimum of two years of CDL driving experience, including heavy-haul and tractor/lowboy driving; Valid CDL A licensure, required; High school diploma or equivalent, preferred./ppRequirements for the Logistics Driver position include:/pulliThorough knowledge of DOT and Company safety standards and regulations./liliMust have an excellent driving record./liliCapable of operating a 5 or 6 axle configuration truck./liliMust be able to conduct inspections of truck to ensure it is in good working order./liliMust be able to secure cargo for transport using chains and/or binders to conform with local, state and federal regulations./liliMust have mechanical aptitude with ability to perform basic truck maintenance tasks./liliMust be able to interact professionally with customers and all levels of personnel within organization. Must possess ability to understand and explain problems and concerns related to deliveries./liliMust be able to perform in situations requiring speed and tight deadlines./liliKnowledge of rental, construction, and generator equipment.
