A stationary goods manufacturer/distributor is seeking an Assistant Warehouse Manager to work at their Warehouse in Torrance, CA

• Torrance, CA
• Temp-to-Hire
• Monday – Friday; 8:00 a.m. – 4:45 p.m.
• $27 / hour

Requirements of the Assistant Warehouse Manager:

• Experience with picking, packing, labeling, shipping and inventory counts
• 3+ years of warehouse experience
• 1+ years in a lead or supervisory capacity
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook)
• Some forklift experience, a plus
• Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities of the Assistant Warehouse Manager:

• Lead daily warehouse operations, including picking, packing, labeling, and shipping activities to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
• Assign and coordinate daily workloads for a small warehouse team of up to 10 employees.
• Monitor employee productivity, work quality, and operational efficiency to maintain performance standards.
• Train, mentor, and support new and less experienced warehouse staff on company procedures, safety practices, and productivity expectations.
• Provide leadership and decision-making support in the absence of the Warehouse Manager, resolving routine operational issues and ensuring continuity of operations.
• Assist with inventory control, receiving, replenishment, and shipping processes to maintain accurate inventory records and efficient material flow.
• Perform hands-on warehouse duties as needed while leading by example and supporting team objectives.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and warehouse best practices.
• Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment focused on accuracy, productivity, and customer service.
