Registered Nurse - Orthopedic and Neuro Spine

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift, 3x12-hour schedule from 18:45 to 07:15.

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse with orthopedic experience to join our fast-paced unit. The position involves providing care for orthopedic and neuro spine patients, ensuring effective pain management and patient safety.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to orthopedic, neuro spine, med-surg, and post-surgical patients.
• Manage pain effectively and respond promptly to patient needs.
• Monitor patient conditions, including IV start and telemetry.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
• Recognize and interpret dysrhythmias, administering appropriate interventions.
• Float to other med-surg units as needed based on staffing requirements.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in an orthopedic setting.
• BCLS and NIH certifications are required; ACLS certification is preferred.
• Candidates must have experience with Epic charting system.
• Must pass EKG testing prior to position start.
