Child Development Center Manager

We are currently looking for a Full Time Child Development Center Manager to join our Child Development Center Ardmore team located at the Chickasaw Nation Child Development Center - Ardmore working 8:30AM-5:00PM - Mo Tu We Th Fr.
Summary: Supervises child development center managers and indirectly supervises staff within the applicable child development centers. Responsibilities:* Direct management of the child development center
* Participates in the development and revision of child development policies, standard operating procedures and manuals
* Maintains a collaborative work environment with tribal and community partners
* Monitors facility safety and cleanliness to meet and exceed tribal and federal standards
* Provides oversight of the facilities to meet and exceed all licensing and accreditation standards
* Serves as a liaison with federal, state and accreditation licensing and monitoring officials and health and safety inspectors
* Acts as a team leader and works cooperatively with staff and other managers to implement a comprehensive child development program for families
* Acquires resources, materials and equipment necessary for safe program operations and maintains accurate inventory procedures
* Manages child development database systems for programming and tribal operations
* Manages child development payment systems with assistance from billing coordinator
* Meets operational goals by establishing productivity, quality and service standards, resolves operational problems and identifies work process improvements
* Coordinates the enrollment of children and maintains thorough documentation of enrollment processes
* Coordinates and supervises the quality of childcare provided and monitors the needs of the families served
* Coordinates meetings with families as needed to ensure quality of care provided and recommends programs and services to assist with additional needs
* Ensures a stimulating, safe and age-appropriate environment for children served
* Monitors the completion of child portfolios and required meetings with parents/guardians regarding their child's development
* Ensures records regarding the behavior, health and activities of children are documented to differentiate care and provide accurate reports to parents/guardians
* Ensures support for children transitioning to school
* Interview, select and submit teaching and support applicants for hire
* Provides guidance and or completes the onboarding of new staff
* Performs staff annual evaluations
* Conducts progressive corrective action of employees assigned
* Approves time off requests and ensures appropriate staffing
* Develops training plans to ensure staff meets or exceeds current regulatory standards
* Maintains staff records, including training, education and experience
* Coordinates the planning of program engagement activities for families and staff
* Designs and maintains a system for tracking all activities of staff and children to meet program's policies and procedures
* Administers regular staff meetings, conferences, and parent engagement opportunities
* Monitors health and safety practices of staff and ensures all tribal standards are being met
* Prepares weekly, monthly and ad hoc reports
* Maintains files, logs, and records
* Serve as a member of the leadership team, providing input on overall strategic direction of the institution and serves on various committees
* Maintains knowledge of and enforce all laws, rules, regulations, policies and SOPs for assigned area, e.g. Oklahoma Early Learning Guidelines, Oklahoma Core Competencies, monitoring compliance, accounting principles, etc.
* Treats all applicants and co-workers with dignity and respect
* Obtain 40 hours of early childhood training annually
* Works in a collaborative and supportive manner to support the productivity and safety of the work area, team members and customers of all types
- Maintains a clean, organized work area and ensures a safe environment
- Maintains and promotes professionalism
- Punctual and consistent in meeting start time, work schedule, attendance and other assigned work time metrics
- Adheres to Chickasaw Nation dress code standards
* Provides first class customer service to both internal and external customers and responds to inquiries, compliments, and/or complaints with professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency
* Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities
* Maintains knowledge of and follows all rules, regulations, policies and guidelines for assigned area
* Develops and maintains documentation as appropriate - files, logs, records, reports, etc.
* Ensures employees and resources complete assigned training and development
* Maintains knowledge of, follows, and enforces all rules, regulations, policies and guidelines for assigned area
* Plans staff to meet operational needs
* Develops, communicates, monitors location- or function-specific procedures and guidelines
* Monitors and improves work performance of assigned teams as a whole and as individuals
* Oversees and manages assigned area
* Meets goals by establishing productivity, quality and service standards, and identifies improvement opportunities
* Serves as a member of the leadership team, providing input on overall strategic direction of the institution and serves on various committees
