About This Role
We're seeking a seasoned preschool teacher for our school. Our center is privately owned, and has been in business for fifteen years. We serve a small rural community, and pride ourselves on offering exceptional care to our families. Our teachers are encouraged to be creative, and think outside of the box! We do not follow VDOE curriculum, allowing flexibility and teacher choice. Our lead teachers have an option to work a 4 or 5 day work schedule, allowing for a better work-life balance. A 4 day schedule essentially allows for one long weekend off per month. No nights or weekends required!!
What You'll DoResponsibilities include:
- Classroom management
- Creating and Implementing lessons, and daily activities
- Continuing education, to include class observations, and working with mentors and coaches to improve program quality.
- Excellent supervision, and care of children.
- Positive communication, both written and oral with staff and families.
- Professional appearance and attitude
- Dependability a must.
- May be working independently, so creating and implementing a routine/schedule is imperative
Applicant must have a minimum of one year's experience in a licensed facility, or school. Previous experience with milestones of development a plus.

Compensation will be determined at time of interview, and based upon experience, education and verification.
