KCI is currently ranked #50 on Engineering News-Record's list of the Top 500 design firms in the nation.KCI BENEFITS INFORMATIONWe offer a competitive compensation package, family friendly benefits, a collaborative working environment, and the training, mentoring and resources you need to advance in your career.We understand that you have choices, and we know that together we will make a great team!KCI is committed to building a diverse and inclusive staff, and we encourage women, people of color, LGBTQ+ individuals, and individuals with disabilities to apply.Duties, Responsibilities & OtherEssential Duties and Responsibilities: * This position is a Survey Party Chief which requires 4 - 8 years of experience supervising a survey field crew performing control surveys, boundary and topographic surveys, construction stakeout, monitoring and as-built surveys. * Must have the ability to mentor, train, and manage assigned staff in the field. * Must have the ability to operate robotic total stations, electronic data collectors, digital and optical levels, and RTK GPS equipment. * Must have excellent math skills and be able to perform survey calculations in the field. * Must have ability to interpret design plans and understand as-built drawings and roadway plans. * Must have ability to create legible field sketches and detailed field notes. * A valid current driver's license is required. * Ability to follow instructions and have a positive can-do attitude are necessities. * Must possess leadership and mentoring skills. * Must be able to lift 50 pounds, walk for extended periods, work in all weather conditions, willing to work evenings/weekends when required, willing to travel for overnight and extended stay projects as required. * Perform other duties as assigned. * Essential Duties and Responsibilities are the basic job functions that an employee must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation.
