Therapist - Physical Therapy Assistant

Job Description

Job Summary:
Assist physical therapists in delivering patient care by implementing treatment plans, supporting exercises, and providing administrative assistance. Work closely with patients of all ages to promote recovery and functional independence.

Responsibilities:

• Support physical therapists in administering treatment plans and therapeutic exercises.
• Guide patients through stretching, balance training, and muscle strengthening activities.
• Communicate with patients' families to suggest effective at-home care techniques.
• Maintain a clean, organized therapy environment and move patients safely as needed.
• Perform administrative duties such as scheduling appointments and managing paperwork.
• Document patient progress and assist in modifying treatment approaches as directed by therapists.

Qualifications:

• Possess at least 1 year of experience in physical therapy services within LTC or rehab settings.
• Hold an active PTA license in the state of Missouri.
• Demonstrate proficiency in patient care and therapeutic techniques.
• Be certified in BLS and meet all state licensing requirements.
• Exhibit excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a healthcare team.
