Daily Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive eye exams, including refraction
• Treat and manage ocular diseases
• Fit contact lenses and recommend optical lenses
• Conduct tonometry and other eye care procedures

Required Skills:

• Patient care and primary care expertise
• Experience in refraction and tonometry
• Knowledge of ocular diseases and eye care
• Ability to perform contact lens fittings
• Doctorate degree in Optometry
• Corneal Topography
• Dilation
• Diabetic Retinopathy

Technical Skills:

• Visual Field Testing
• Lensometry
• Autorefractor
• Keratometry
• Lens Selection

Salary and Benefits:

Salary range for this position is $180,000 - $200,000 per year (plus bonus/commission). We offer health insurance, vacation leave, sick leave, paid time off, and tuition reimbursement.

Our one-on-one approach to optometry and the quality optometric care we provide to all our patients make the entire Ultimate Spectacle staff the eye and vision care leaders in the Poughkeepsie area. We can help you with everything from routine eye exams to contact lenses, eyeglasses, glaucoma testing, and pre-and post-operative care. And, we offer vision financing options and will work with vision insurance providers to ensure good eye health and vision care for all of our patients.
