Physician - Palliative Care Campus Lead

Job Title: Physician — Palliative Care Campus Lead Campus: Paoli Hospital Employment Type: Full-Time Main Line Health is seeking a Palliative Care Physician to serve as the Campus Lead at Paoli Hospital , a key leadership role within our established, interdisciplinary palliative care program. This is an inpatient-based position that combines clinical care with campus-level leadership. The Lead Physician functions as a clinical resource, team leader, and strategic partner, working closely with an experienced team of nurse practitioners, social workers, and hospice partners to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. Unlike traditional lead roles, this position emphasizes collaboration, influence, and program advancement—supporting a mature team that practices with a high degree of autonomy. Key Responsibilities Clinical Care Provide high-quality inpatient palliative care consults at Paoli Hospital Lead and participate in daily interdisciplinary team huddles, guiding care planning and consult distribution Manage an individual patient panel while supporting team-based care delivery Facilitate goals-of-care discussions, symptom management, and end-of-life care Collaborate with hospitalists, specialists, and care teams to optimize patient outcomes and transitions, including hospice Leadership & Team Support Serve as the primary clinical leader and resource for the campus palliative care team Act as a liaison between palliative care, hospital-based physicians, and system leadership Support team development through mentorship, education, and role modeling (no co-signing of APP notes/orders required) Promote efficient workflows, communication, and best practices across the team Contribute to a high-functioning, collaborative team culture Program Development Partner with system leadership to advance the palliative care program, including future expansion into outpatient and post-acute settings Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, access, and quality of care Participate in educational initiatives, including lectures and interdisciplinary learning Qualifications MD or DO from an accredited institution. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hospice & Palliative Medicine. Eligible for a Pennsylvania medical license. DEA license required.
