Emergency Operations Specialist - Onsite, Nashville TN

Overview The Emergency Operations Specialist coordinates disaster response and crisis management activities, provides disaster preparedness training, and prepares emergency plans and procedures for natural and technological disasters or any operational interruption that may affect patient or staff safety. The role ensures business continuity throughout the healthcare system and involves active on-call responsibilities. Preferred Skills & Experience Experience in project management with the ability to prioritize and execute under tight timelines. Exceptional communication skills, including regular interaction with executive leadership and facilitating high‑level calls with senior stakeholders. Proven ability to multitask effectively in dynamic, fast‑paced environments. Comfortable operating in high‑stakes situations, demonstrating sound judgment, rapid decision‑making, and composure under pressure. Strong organizational skills, including managing a flexible calendar and adapting quickly to changing priorities. Highly collaborative, team‑oriented mindset. Proactive and solution‑focused, anticipating needs and addressing challenges before escalation. Key Responsibilities Develop program plans, goals, and objectives in collaboration with leadership. Provide professional and/or technical leadership in the execution of day‑to‑day program activities, including on‑call duties. Communicate across departments to maximize information sharing regarding progress, needs, interdependencies, and accomplishments. Participate in institutional task forces and special committees related to achieving program goals. Facilitate and manage executive‑level discussions on events, documenting action items and debriefs. Organize, develop, and administer training (e.g., community exercises, tabletop drills) for faculty and staff. Perform additional duties as assigned within the scope of the position.
