Job Description

Job Summary:

The CT Scan Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic computed tomography procedures in a fast-paced, Level I Trauma and Academic Medical Center. Under the supervision of medical professionals, they create high-quality images to assist in patient diagnosis and care.

Responsibilities:

• Execute CT imaging procedures accurately and efficiently for inpatients, outpatients, research subjects, and emergency cases.
• Enforce radiation safety protocols in compliance with New York State Department of Health regulations.
• Assist in clinical evaluation and provide care to patients throughout the imaging process.
• Support ongoing learning by staying updated on technological advancements and best practices in radiology.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of procedures and patient information.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited two-year AMA Radiologic Technology Program and high school diploma.
• Current New York State Registration in Diagnostic Radiography or limited practice permit.
• ARRT registration in Radiologic Technology.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider, CPR, or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification.
• Entry-level candidates with limited experience are encouraged, with skill level determined accordingly.
• Strong knowledge of radiation safety and imaging techniques.
