Fitness Coordinator

Overview Fitness Coordinator Location: 400 1st Ave S, Fargo, ND 58103-1901, United States. Base Pay: $20.05 – $24.02 per hour. Job Category: Fitness. Employee Type: Full Time - Non-Exempt. Required Degree: 4 Year Degree or related experience. This position will assist in the day-to-day operations of the Schlossman and Fercho Fitness Centers by ensuring that staff are properly trained, the centers are clean, and equipment is functioning. It will ensure staff interact with new and existing members to help them achieve health and well-being goals and create a welcoming environment for all. Responsibilities Assists in the administration and leadership of the Fercho and Schlossman Fitness Centers, ensuring a safe, clean facility with all equipment in working order. Coordinates the daily maintenance of equipment, performs proper maintenance procedures, and reports any damaged equipment to the Fitness Director. Trains in topics including youth exercise, chronic disease, cancer, and nutrition. Promotes and sells personal training programs and services. Develops and maintains a personal training client base of up to 10 sessions per week. Fills in for fitness staff as needed; serves as a peer leader for all fitness staff. Interviews, hires, and trains new staff per policy. Qualifications At least 21 years old. Bachelor’s Degree in a directly related field or 2 years of directly related experience, training and/or education. 1 year of supervisory experience. One nationally accredited Personal Training Certification or obtain within 90 days of hire. Within 90 days of hire: CPR/FA Certification for Adult, Child and Pediatrics.
