Position Overview

Hills Supply, Inc. is seeking a dependable and motivated Dairy Equipment Service Technician to join our growing team serving dairy farms throughout Ohio. This full-time position is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of dairy equipment and automated farm systems. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, electrical troubleshooting experience, technical skills, and computer proficiency, along with a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

This role offers the opportunity to work independently while supporting dairy producers with the equipment and technology essential to their daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

· Install, service, maintain, and repair dairy equipment including:

o Milking systems

o Milk cooling and storage equipment

o Vacuum and pump systems

o Automated feeding and monitoring systems

o Water, plumbing, and ventilation systems

· Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and technical issues.

· Perform preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and reliability.

· Configure, monitor, and support computerized dairy management and automation systems.

· Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.

· Complete equipment testing and operational inspections following repairs or installations.

· Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and customer documentation using computer-based systems.

· Coordinate/communicate with the service team to prioritize and complete service calls efficiently.

· Maintain company tools, equipment, and service vehicle.

Follow all safety policies and procedures while working on customer sites

Compensation:

Competitive hourly wage based on experience.

Rotating monthly on call schedule.

Daily overtime pay available
