About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Staff Augmentation Duration: 53 days Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (6:00 PM - 6:30 AM) Experience: Open to recent graduates and less than 1 year of experience in skilled nursing facility or long-term care experience License: Registered Nurse (RN) Certifications: CPR/BLS Card, Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card Must-Have: 1. Candidate Resume 2. 7-year background check including name clearance check 3. TB Skin Test 4. Skills Assessment Checklist 5. Hepatitis B vaccination or declination of offered vaccine 6. Competency Tests 7. Drug Test 8. COVID Vaccines Card Description: Administer medication and perform treatments on an assigned unit as ordered by the physician and within the scope of license. Receive and deliver a variety of information regarding the residents' medical, social, functional, and other needs. Participate in receiving and giving shift reports. Communicate with residents, family, and staff as necessary to ensure appropriate care is provided by the interdisciplinary team. Perform the initial admission nursing assessment on new residents. Assist with the development of Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments and care plans. Maintain appropriate clinical and administrative documentation regarding diagnosis, assessments, treatment, and summary of client progress. Lead and supervise subordinate staff and assist with direct resident care for the completion of Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, personal hygiene, and mobility. Conduct in-service training and staff development programs for regularly employed staff. Utilize problem-solving concepts and tools for continuous process improvements and efficiency. Demonstrate knowledge of gerontological/geriatric nursing theory and practices. Understand residents' conditions and changing medical, physical, and psychological care needs. Apply nursing practices and procedures for developing treatment plans for resident/patient care. Be knowledgeable of federal, state, and agency laws governing professional nursing practices and the security of medical supplies and medications. Observe and assess behavior and progress of patients. Develop and carry out patient care plans within a team nursing concept. Exhibit effective oral and written communication skills. Build interpersonal relationships with residents and team members. Demonstrate the ability to learn and implement methods for continuous improvement and efficiency.
