Sales Associate

Our part‑time Sales Associates work at the heart of Five Below’s energy, delivering outstanding customer service while driving strong sales. We look for candidates who are passionate about helping customers, maintaining a clean and well‑stocked store, and creating seamless checkout experiences. Responsibilities Greet and assist customers promptly, acknowledging them immediately and efficiently handling multiple customers. Understand and meet customer needs by sharing product knowledge, answering questions, guiding customers to merchandise, and offering recommendations. Promote store events and promotions, informing customers about current events and special activities to enhance their experience and drive sales. Resolve customer concerns, turning returns into exchanges when possible. Communicate needs to management regarding merchandise restocking, service requirements, and customer feedback. Collaborate with the team to achieve overall store and company objectives and contribute to a positive work environment. Qualifications At least 16 years old. Flexible schedule availability. Comfortable with or willing to learn technology such as cash registers and handheld devices. Good communicator who engages with customers. Courteous and professional in handling customer interactions and potential issues. Basic information‑gathering skills to solve problems. Ability to learn procedural knowledge through on‑the‑job training. Essential Job Functions Operate cash register frequently. Move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and place/remove items up to 5–10 ft. Ascend/descend ladders to retrieve and store stock. Position self to kneel, bend, twist, and stoop while stocking and on the sales floor. Communicate with customers by phone and in‑store, exchanging accurate information. Move across the sales floor assisting customers and accessing the stock room. Work a flexible schedule that may include day, evening, weekend, overnight shifts, and travel. Identify and discern email and print instructions on merchandise layouts, schedules, and SOPs. Remain in a stationary, upright position for 80 % of the time.
