We are looking for an experienced Site Safety Representative to support a large-scale Data Center construction project in Minooka, IL. The ideal candidate will ensure a safe work environment by enforcing OSHA standards, client requirements, and company safety policies.
Responsibilities
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture on the job site.
- Conduct daily safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.
- Ensure employees, subcontractors, vendors, and visitors comply with all safety policies and procedures.
- Work closely with project management to implement and maintain site-specific safety programs.
- Review and maintain required client and subcontractor safety documentation.
- Lead safety orientations, toolbox talks, and training sessions.
- Track safety metrics and prepare reports as needed.
- Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and all federal, state, and local safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety & Health or a related field OR 5–10 years of construction safety experience.
- OSHA 30 Certification (preferred).
- Current First Aid/CPR/AED Certification .
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and construction safety regulations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Experience working on commercial or industrial construction projects (Data Center experience is a plus).
- Ability to work on active construction sites, including standing, walking, climbing ladders, and navigating uneven terrain.
