Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team in a full-time, day shift role. Key Responsibilities Include Receiving, reviewing, and accurately entering prescriptions and refill requests into the pharmacy system. Preparing and packaging medications by counting, measuring, pouring, and labeling according to provider orders. Verifying prescription labels, auxiliary labels, and patient information for accuracy. Processing third-party prescriptions, including insurance claims, rejections, and prior authorizations under pharmacist supervision. Maintaining updated patient profiles, including allergies, demographics, and medication histories. Assisting patients at the counter and via phone, resolving basic questions, and triaging clinical issues to pharmacists. Handling point-of-sale transactions and managing prescription pickups and returns. Monitoring, rotating, and restocking inventory, including removing expired or damaged products. Preparing medications for automated dispensing systems and loading pharmacy technology. Adhering to all regulations, safety standards, and pharmacy policies. Maintaining a clean, organized, and secure work environment and collaborating with team members to ensure safe patient care. Qualifications And Skills Include High school diploma or equivalent. Active pharmacy technician license/registration or eligibility to obtain one. At least one year of pharmacy technician experience in retail, outpatient, long-term care, or hospital settings. Strong math skills, high attention to detail, and accuracy. Excellent customer service, communication skills, and professionalism. Familiarity with medication processing and ability to pass background and drug screening.
