Position Specific Description We are seeking an experienced Software Developer to join our Digital & AI engineering team supporting mission-critical applications within the nuclear energy industry. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining modern cloud-native applications while ensuring compliance with U.S. Nuclear Part 810 regulations. The ideal candidate is a hands-on full-stack developer with strong cloud engineering experience, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for building scalable, secure, and high-quality software solutions. Compliance Requirement: Due to U.S. Nuclear Part 810 regulations, applicants must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder) and must successfully complete the required Nuclear Part 810 background screening. - Design, optimize, and maintain PostgreSQL databases, ensuring performance, scalability, and data integrity.
- Develop and deploy applications on AWS using serverless and container-based architectures.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automated deployment processes.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, UX designers, and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical design decisions.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks using Confluence.
- Ensure applications adhere to cybersecurity, compliance, and software quality standards required for regulated environments.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
- Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies, including AI-assisted development tools, where appropriate.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
