Location 320 SYCAMORE ST,Wauseon, OH, 43567-1100,United States Employee Type Salary FT Exempt Job Summary The primary responsibility of this position is to identify, plan, and implement key projects to improve quality and safety, reduce cost and increase productivity resulting in customer and employee satisfaction and significant business improvement. This position also provides leadership and helps develop CI (continuous improvement) staff. Key Responsibilities Manages lean manufacturing initiatives through implementing policies and procedures to analyze production workflows, workspace design, and resource utilization to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, or waste Manages and coaches staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs: Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Researches and employs lean methodologies and principles to improve the operations and processes of manufacturing Monitors the progress of lean initiatives against plan objectives and evaluates the impacts of lean principles against costs, production quality, and delivery goals Create momentum for new initiatives while understanding the many different perspectives in the plant; effectively gain support across the organization as needed Identify root causes of manufacturing problems relating to safety, quality, or productivity Analyze workflows within and across all departments to determine opportunities in efficiency Employ a team-based approach to develop action plans for resolving problems Communicate any roadblocks or other constraints Maintain reporting and timing documentation Other duties as required and assigned Key Attributes The ability to influence others Self-starter who takes ownership of problems Possesses a continuous improvement mentality – able to challenge the way things are done and streamline processes Demonstrates a collaborative approach using teamwork to develop solutions Demonstrates a commitment to Haas Door’s Core Values Qualifications Working knowledge of Lean concepts and tools 5+ years experience in Continuous Improvement and/or Lean Manufacturing 3+ years leadership experience Strong problem solving skills with the ability to deal with and resolve complex and difficult situations with flexible solutions Demonstrates proficient computer skills; preferably experience with Google Workspace, AutoCad and SolidWorks Strong written and verbal communication skills Must have the physical ability to conduct work on the manufacturing floor #J-18808-Ljbffr
