Facilities Maintenance Technician

Janitorial Position at ABC Home and Commercial ServicesABC Home and Commercial Services is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented janitor to support the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of our commercial properties. This role plays a vital part in ensuring a positive experience for all who use our facilities.Primary ResponsibilitiesSweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors; clean windows, walls, and other surfacesEmpty trash and recycling receptacles, ensuring proper disposal and sanitationSanitize and restock restrooms with appropriate suppliesDisinfect high-touch surfaces such as door handles, light switches, and shared equipmentMaintain cleanliness of outdoor areas, including walkways, parking lots, and building entrancesPerform light maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs and minor repairsMonitor and replenish cleaning supplies; notify management of inventory needsFollow all safety procedures and promptly report hazards or property damageAssist with warehouse inventory by receiving, organizing, and tracking supplies and equipment; support regular inventory audits and report discrepanciesClean and maintain commercial properties in Lewisville and Plano on a weekly basis; travel to Tyler, Texas on a quarterly basisMaintain a flexible schedule, including availability for early mornings, evenings, or weekends as neededPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periodsAbility to lift and carry up to 50 poundsCapability to perform repetitive tasks and operate standard cleaning equipmentWillingness to work in varying environmental conditions, including heat, cold, and exposure to cleaning agentsRequirementsOperate a company vehicle to travel to Tyler on a quarterly basis or as needed.Drive safely and in compliance with all applicable traffic laws and company safety standardsPerform basic vehicle upkeep, including monitoring tire condition, brakes, and oil changesAdhere to company vehicle usage policies and maintain a clean driving recordReport any vehicle accidents to the Safety Manager within one hour of occurrenceMaintain a valid Texas driver's license and provide updated documentation to Human Resources as requiredA company vehicle may be assigned for take-home use and will be available for work-related travel between locationsQualificationsMinimum of one (1) year of experience as a commercial janitor using cleaning equipmentDemonstrated attention to detail to ensure thorough and consistent cleaning standardsKnowledge of cleaning chemicals, tools, and safety practicesPhysical ability to perform manual labor and lift up to 50 poundsEffective time management and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a team environmentAvailability to work a flexible and changing scheduleValid Texas driver's license and clean driving record requiredCompensation: Pay- $17.00 per hourWhat We OfferHealth, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance401(k) retirement plan with company matchPaid Time Off (PTO)Participation in the Lead Now Program to support career growth and earning potentialA supportive and team-oriented work environmentEqual Opportunity StatementABC Home & Commercial Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
